맥북의 세부스팩을 보면 인텔 코어2 듀오 프로세서에 2GB DDR2 메모리와 80GB의 하드디스크가 내장되어 있다. LCD의 크기는 13인치이며 가격은 한화로 약 170만원이다. 또한 DVD 드라이브를 장착하지 않는 대신 외장형 USB 드라이브인 '맥북 에어 슈퍼드라이브'를 한화 약 9만원에 별도로 판매한다고 한다.
맥북 에어는 최근 출시된 11.1인치(2.5cm) 초슬림형 노트북 '소니 TZ' 보다도 얇을 정도다. 그냥 사고 싶다는 생각만 든다. 지금 사용하고 있는 노트북에 비하면 완전 갈아치우고 싶은 심정. 애플은 공식 홈페이지(http://www.apple.com/macbookair/)에 접속하시면 'Thin(얇은)'과 'Innovation(혁신)' 두 단어를 결합한 신조어 'Thinnovation'을 볼 수 있습니다. 아이팟 나왔을 때도 정말 갖고 싶은었는데 맥북에어 정말 갖고 싶네요.
